What size (height) tires should I be looking at getting?

I've got a 9" with a 6spd. Gonna put 4.33 gears in the 9"

heads cam 383

200shot nitrous in the future, i dont know if i will have enough money this winter for it though

Whats the optimal rpm for crossing the traps? above or below peak hp?

cant decide on whether a 26" or 28" tire

Another useless post by the resident ricer and moron.

You want to cross the traps at the top of your powerband in a gear, or as close to that as possible

well i think im gonna use the 26" since i can get a good deal on them. And they should be optimal for at least a 150 shot.

thanks guys

A 26 inch tall tire at 120mph would put you at about 6720 rpm in fourth gear in the traps.
A 28 inch tall tire would put you at about 6240 rpm.

you will run out of gear with 4.33s and 26 inch tires. My buddies 396/nitrous runs out of gear even with the 28" and 4.30s. Hes swapping out gears to something higher this winter.

Heres a handy sheet for calculating stuff.

If you are going to run the 26in I would just go to autozone. And pick up the tubes for 12.00 each and save some cash. That is what I have on my car. And I have no problems with them.
