Delteq: what plug wires are you using?

i have plans to make my own bracket on top of the intake kind of like "Kmooks" but i am going to make the coilpacks and module run perpindicular with the fuel rails and not crossover it like his. probably end up with one or 2 of the coils sitting under the cowl as not to run into hood clearance issues

anyway, i have Taylor OTVC wires right now and have ideas on just taking the opti boots off and installing regular 90* boots in place. will i be ok doing that? also where can i pick up some 90* boots at?

also i have read a little bit about some wires causing some interference with the Delteq, which wires are these??

thanks

Just used the wires that came fom Delteq. Mabey the corvette Delteq wires would work for your setup. Here is an old pic from when I first got it installed but mabey you can see if the wires would work.

Re: Delteq: what plug wires are you using?

well i have plans to make this system work for me for under $500
$140 for coilpacks+ ignition module shipped off EBAY new never been used product
$336 shipped for the Delteq system
new sprak plug boots, ????? cant be too much, i'm guessing maybe $20 max (but from where?)
reusing wires i already have, free
make my own bracket for the intake with aluminum junk i have laying around, free

i want plug wires that are all equal in length give or take 1-2 inches per wire
i dont care mush for therouting of the passenger side wires with the valvecover bracket and the fact that all the wires are like 3' long

Good luck trying to get the 2 coils under the hood along w/ the wire. You must have plans on cutting the cowl or something because it's not gonna fit even w/ the thinnest sheet metal bracket you fabricate. I wanted to do the same thing but that cowl wasn't working w/ me. I lost and mounted on the VC. I'd like to see it when you do do it. Post pics!

Kmook got all 4 of his under the cowl, i dont see how there will be any issues...
i dont plan on running the wires over any coils but along side of them
i'm gonna try it tho, we shall see what i come up with

That is the farthest the coils will go back. Basically about 2". Go look at your car and you'll notice there is about a 1" drop two inches back. That blocks the coils from going any further back. You might* be able to fit one coil under there if it is turned 90* from how mine are.

I never did answer your question. Running 10.4mm wires. You can see it here. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...02670060BQIYZA

Like Kmook said it's gonna be hard if even at all possible. It would look sick though if you could pull it off. Pop the hood and people will be like "WTF?". LOL!

I have a set of the 90* boots that you could have if you wanted. They even have the crimp on ends. $15 shipped sound fair?
