Could vacuum leak cause DTC 64 code ????
I just got a vacuum leak around the PCV area of the manifold and
i drove it down the block and back with the vacuum leak still . DTC
64 was set through the scanmaster with no SES light . I let the car idle for a few mins and the SES light came on . I gave it a little gas and immediately the SES light shut off but the code is still in the scanmaster . The 02's
have less than 100 miles on them BTW . Could the vacuum leak cause
the DTC 64 ? Thanks in advance

Any air that bypasses the MAF sensor is forcing the PCM to correct the lean condition using the long term fuel corrections. A small leak should not be a big problem. It would have to be so big that the PCM could not correct the condition using both the long term and short term fuel corrections, causing the O2 sensor to indicate a lean condition for an extended period of time.

It was so big right when you shut the car off the whistling of the leak
was VERY evident for a solid 3 seconds
So im assuming this leak is big enough to cause this DTC . You could also hear the leak plain as day when
the car was running with MAC mids , no cats or mufflers , CC XE 233/239
cam . So the car is in NO way quiet and you could hear the leak with the hood down .

The answer was yes, a 64 can be caused by a leak.
You said you have a definite leak. Did you cure it?
When a 64 is set, the SES comes on. If you are seeing the light go on and off, the code is coming and going. That would indicate you have a problem like hambone. Lean at idle but not when the revs are brought up.
He also sees a few other things. Fuel trims eventually max out and IAC count goes to 0.
He found one leak but still has not found all of them.

Well he asked me how big the leak was so i was just curious what he thought
up when i answered him . Yes i fixed the leak but havent got to drive the car yet

Your description of the leak is fairly subjective... hard to say with absolute certainty that it is the only cause of the problem. But fixing it is a step in the right direction.
