CC306 and no tune.. How will it run? Mines going nuts!

I took the beast out for a drive today and the car was idling fine, when you press the gas and the release the idle drops really low and then picks back up..

there is no rocker noise and they are adjusted perfectly..

I was doing about 120 and then slowed to a light and the car dropped to about 400 RPM idle ... So i shut the car off and started it again at the light and then it idled fine, went up to about 110 and slowed down and it did it again... sounded like it was about to die, but didnt..

SES light goes on and off, idle changes with light...

Hesitates really really bad down low but at 2000 it smoothes out and pulls hard even under normal accel..

Cruising it jerks around a bit (car)..

Under heavy down shifts the car sounds like its got a hollow exhaust and starts rappidly back firing..

Is this all normal on a base LT1 edit tune (fuel curves were lowered with the tune.. then the cam went in like 5 months later.. the tune wasnt for the cam is what im trying to say.. its pretty much a stock comp...

Starts and idles great..

Letting off the clutch it wants to die really bad..

Coolant temp goes up ALOT almost to redline!

SOOOO what do you guys think?? Im getting my comp tuned this week... I just wanna know if this is normal..... had some detonation too i think but i put some octane booster in and poof it was gone.. lol

Im not positive but it seems strange to me. My buddy went out and turned 12.5s on his stock tune with an AUTO. His car didnt really act up at all other than some surging and the idel dipped when jumping out of the throttle. But all in all it was ok to drive on.

i think you need to drill out your IAC. Mine would almost die when you slowed down, and would almost stall out when you turned the AC on and that was with a H/C tune.

What do you mean drill out the IAC?? Its also fine when you first start it up.. when the car goes into its loop thing and the ses light goes on is when everything happens..

It also stays at like 1500 to 2000 sometimes after a quick rev or drive.. like if you drive then stop, it takes about 3 or 4 seconds for the idle to go down

do a search on drilling out the IAC. I don't remember what size drill bit to do. Me and my friend both did it and it helped our cars bunches.

Try just taking it out and see what happens. Easy 5 min job.

Are you sure you installed the radiator/cooling fans and all that good stuff properly?
