2OTL is the SLP SS option yep, people seem to do quite well with it, there was a car that made 411 RW with it through MAC headers, no cutout.

Another vote for the Loudmouth!! I think it really sounds great when you rev up that LT1! It has a very intimidating sound in the higher RPM's that will make the guy next to you at the light think twice. I also get nothing but compliments on my exhaust almost everyday. I guess it's a matter of opinion so good luck with your choice. I will however say please don't waste your money on a borla or some other overpriced exhaust though, it's just not worth it for the same or less gains.

Loudmouth is definitely loud. Its to damn raspy, when u rev it up and it revs down burbles and spits and every other thing too. I've heard it with a bullet muffler and it cleaned it up real well. So if u want loudmouth get a bullet muffler put in too and you will be golden. I personally like my B&B catback. Very pricey, but damn those quad tips are sweet! I'm putting a cutout on for when I want it to be loud. Its quiet till u romp on it, then it screams like a race car.

Don’t WASTE your money on a Catback! Buy a cutout!

For $30 you can have better gains than any catback. All my F-body friends wish that had gone that route.

I've got Hooker on my 94 Z, no cat, stock manifolds. It sounds absolutely mean and I've gotten nothing but compliments on it. I love it, my friends love it, my g/f loves it , my parents love it. Everyone loves my hooker. I've also heard Hooker on a Heads/cam/LT car, sounds great on that, but gets high pitched at high rpms due to the LTs.

All of these guys raving about Loudmouth dont have headers. Ive heard everyone with headers and loudmouth ditched it because it became too loud.

Nowhere in this thread did anyone mention the environment when they discussed the cutout

Im running Hooker LTs, 4" Mufflex pipes and a Spintech muffler with dual 3" outlets and it sounds pretty good, but I would enjoy louder. I researched the internet for months deciding which expensive catback i wanted, then i realized, I have a 4" sewer pipe under my car and all i need is a cutout for that every now-and-then desire for hideously loud exhaust. i have dual e-cutouts and im waiting to install them soon

Go

right now i just have stock manifolds and a 3 inch exhaust cutout before the rear axle. This setup sounds awesome......but tends to backfire every now and then. When i go with longtubes in the spring this setup will get ditched because it would be way too loud........i think im gonna go with the off road y into a gmmg chambered exhaust with a cutout for track usage only. Pretty much if you have headers then you probably dont want a cutout for everyday street driving. Unless you like the nascar sound...

The SS had the single exhaust that looked like the 20TL, and Car and Driver commented on how it was louder than the WS6.

I know the article by heart. That is the "2 on the left". I would never have any other exhaust on my car. The sound is sooooo nice.
