What do you guys think is the best cam kit for a lt1, besides the hot cam kit. with ported lt1 heads. Thanks

I second that....Cmotorsports is the best with motor stuff. I would call them and talk to Seth about what cam you should put in. There are many cams out there that work well with ported heads, it just depends on wether or not you have to take emissions.

I love the 224/230 on a 112 LSA and from what I've heard it really wakes up when you port the heads(thats next for me) The 230/236 is a great cam too.

there is no best, only depends on how high you want to go, is it a daily driver or no? etc.

I agree call CM and tell the what you have and what your goals are, they will point you in the direction of a cam and kit that will best suite your needs.

CM does have the best cam kits from what I hear. Don't you already have a cam kit installed? Are you thinking of going bigger?

I think the *best* cam is one that is custom ground for YOU and YOUR car and YOUR driving style. Off the shelf cams are generics that may work well, may not.
Go here, fill out the form and Cam Motions will send you a recommendation specific to your setup/goals.
http://www.cammotion.com/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=69
Just fill out the (free) registration and then fill out the info about your car and they'll respond (typically within 2 days) with a cam.
I went this route. I sent them my ported heads flow sheet and they used that as part of the configuration. I LOVE the cam they sent me. Buying the cam and springs together netted a 10% off too!

See sig. I'm swapping to 1.7 rockers soon for a .570/.578 lift total. Looking for 390+ RWHP.
