BEST CAM TO GET FOR STOCK HEADS?? please reply
Dont be a hater import eater
I guess i was just thinking he could upgrade to the ported heads later. I mean there were people talking about the 847 so why not mention the 230 236. Just tossing out some ideas.
Whatever choice you do finalize on im sure it will work out good for your setup.

For the original post, if you have emissions to pass, don't go any higher than the XE 224/230 cam. You may be able to pass with something bigger, but it would be a gamble. If emissions are not done, and your motor is in good shape without too many miles go with the CC306 cam. It does well with stock heads, and should you get them ported in the future (i'll bet you will
), the gap widens, and you'll be close to 400rwhp with tuning. As with any cam purchase, get some good springs and retainers, hardened pushrods with guideplates, better lifters, and some pro-magnum rocker arms to ensure reliability past 6k rpm.
As for getting 3.73's, put that money toward a 12 bolt which you will need in the near future. When the time comes, you can then go with 4.10's and slicks and not worry about snapping the stock axle.
