Battery Life Almost Over?

When the Ignition is turned on (not the car just the ignition when all the lights on the dash come on and stay on) the battery gauge needle is right where the red starts...is this normal? Can this be causing the hardstarts on my car and possibly a stumble when more than 1/2 throttle is pushed in from a roll or start???

Time for a new batt??? WHat do you recommend? OPTIMA?

Thanks in advance!!!!

Also check into your Altenator. Cause if your battery is not holding charge then it's battery, but if your battery is not getting recharged then even if you buy a new battery the problem will not be solved.

Take the battery to Autozone and have it tested. That's one thing they can do that's fairly foolproof. I wouldn't have it tested in the car, as the load test can finish off a marginal battery and leave you stranded, unless you're ready to buy a new battery while you're there.
