Air in the cooling system?

Going up to ~230 is ok, as long as it cools right back down to 210 when the high fans kick on and only while idling of course.

Stock PCM programming turns the fans on low speed at 226*F and high speed at 235*F. Do you have access to a scanner that would allow you to see what the coolant temp sensor is telling the PCM? A faulty sensor could prevent the fans from coming on at the correct temperature.

I don't have a scanner but was planning on getting one one day. Maybe I should just replace the sensor just in case. If i leave the heater on the fans stay on and the car stays cool. Maybe I should just invest in a manual fan switch and be done with the whole issue.
