93 LT1 overheat >> HELP!

New to the board...hello everyone, I need some ideas.
Have a 93 Z28 with 219K. I have replaced the radiator, water pump, T-stat, hoses, temp sending units on the pump and head. Start the car, wait for T-stat to open at 180, it dosen't (feel the hose for heat...nothing). Temp continues to go up, fans will not kick on! They will kick on if I pull the temp sending unit wire on the water pump. Pretty much at my wits end. Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

Do you have the thermostat that is specifically made for the LT1?

T-stat

Yes. I am fairly decent shade-tree mechanic. It's not a Delco unit. Bought this one at advance. Trying to fix this car to trade it for a boat. So I'm not wanting to put alot of $$$ in it. I got a bad feeling I have a head gasket blown. She start idling rough whenthe temp starts up(not in the red) around 230. What ya think.

So, you did get the right thermostat?????? If you paid 3~5 dollars for it, then its wrong.. LT1 cost around 15~18 dollars......

And the LT1 is known for air bubbles.... Did you bleed out the bubbles???????
