Mine is-was like yours ksss. My upper one is two arms like ace is reffering too but there is a second single arm that is coming from the head. If I get to my car and remember to look I will. I do know its four bolts on the alternator itself on mine.

Im almost positive my ported heads have an extra hole there and I didnt need to put it on header. I did re-use the stock stud and nut and spacer in the second hole.

Wow, I've never seen that before on a 4th Gen F-body....good to know that it was not rigged up by somebody. Mine never had it at all.

Oil Filters with Long Tube Headers - LS1TECH
Started reading about the oil cooler since i vaguely remembered an issue on it with longtubes. Im putting pacesetters on the car and plan on swapping my cooler to the newer motor. Anyone think I'll have an issue with the later style lt1 oil cooler and pacesetters? Finally to that point in my swap......

decided to skip the oil cooler. still haven go get a new radiator hose to bypass the oil cooler. the motor mounts went in easy after i loosened the bracket-to-Kmember and the motor mount on the passenger side.

Whenever I pull my motor I install the headers onto the engine first THEN lower the body back onto the car. Makes life so much easier. However I cannot speak for the Pacesetters ability to do the same thing since I have LPPs (which just barely fit inbetween the inner fenderwells when lowering the body).

Re: 7'11" ceiling in garage lt1 removal(bottom)

had to take my clutch/bell/pressure plate off again....my clutch must have somehow slipped while i was tightening up my pressure plate. after that was back on and i wrestled my tranny on(PITA), i started with the headers. did the passenger side only

only thing now is the bracket that hangs off the end of the tranny to support one side of the y-pipe doesn't line up with the pacesetter y.

Hmmm, thats quite a bit off. Was it okay before? Did you rest the weight of the engine and tranny on the headers at some point?

Re: 7'11" ceiling in garage lt1 removal(bottom)

the headers are brand new. i think the bracket had the weight of the tranny on it while trying to wrestle it back on the motor. looking at it with better light this morning i can see the bracket was bent. hope i don't run into any problems when i lower the car back down on the motor

Re: 7'11" ceiling in garage lt1 removal(bottom)

the original catted y-pipe bolted right up. i guess i have to ask....has anyone else run into this problem? is it something my muffler shop will be able to rig when they connect my y-pipe to the catback, assuming it fits otherwise and doesn't interfere with the body? im probably gonna run it open header till i get to the shop and make sure its running ok after the swap

i believe its the drivers side part of the y-pipe that's tweeked, maybe the header little too. perhaps during shipping?
