Here's the dyno graphs:

Comparison of his best run before heads/cam and the 440 hp graph:

Comparison of the graphs as the car came in Saturday and going into "race trim" and Geoff's tuning:

Steve, What converter are you using? And stall speed? and also what rear gear do you currently have?

Power looks good, hopefully it performs just as well on the track.
By the look of the torque curve looks like you going to need a pretty high stall to keep it up in the power band.

Oops - Did you have the converter locked on this run? If so did you do a run un-locked to see where the torque was?

Sorry for all the questions, just courious...

Arrow

Thanks Angie for posting the graphs! Sucks not having the net at work!
Ken, I'm still running a Vigilante 3600 with 3.73 gears and yes we locked the converter on the all out pull.
The car should be making even more power by time you see it at the Shootout next month... I have two "Dyno records" to break LOL.

.600 lift on a hydraulic roller? That's kinda pushing things a bit.

Wow that is pushing things a bit, all it might take is for it to over-rev once & let the valves float there for a bit & pistons introduce themselves to the valves

But congrats man that is just amazing!

he does have the rev kit on it so it should help with valve float.

Actually it has tons of piston to valve clearance, over .200 if I remember correct. The valve lift has little to do with the P/V clearance since peak lift only occurs when the piston is at the bottom of the stroke. The duration and lobe profile is the real determining factor. The lift does play a role but only a small part.

Also like Tim said the motor does have a Hydra-Rev kit as well.

You guys at Thunder Racing, have come a long way to provide not only a complete internet race shop, but now a reputable speed shop. That's great to hear. Very few can stay consistent in their services these days, but growing also.

PS: Paul, I've got my tubular K-member. Niece piece. Thanks!
