Will you get GMHTP to do follow up story? That would be neat.
Clint are you running a th350 trans??
looking at the Transmission ratio's
1st 2nd 3rd 4th/overdirve
Th350 2.52 1.52 1 N/A
Th400 2.48 1.48 1 N/A
4L80E 2.48 1.48 1 0.75
4L60E 3.06 1.63 1 0.7
Wouldn't people go faster with the hard hitting first gear in the 4L60E, I know they can't hold high power a lot of the times but Rick's car has a Dana built Probuilt in it (My brothers LS1 car has the same tranny).
Not to Hijack but someone school me in tranny gears?

Well, there are several ways to look at this. one being the drop between gears, 60e for example, huge drop, would the 1st gear HELP enough to make up for the large drop to 2nd?
Something else to think about, if the A4 is F-d then it is just as good as a limp noodle under the car.
I would like a 3.xx in a TH350 and run the right rear gear for the top end
but instead I opted for the 2.75 1st.

Shon, the car weighed 3,400lbs with out the pass. seat and before the rollbar. The bar added 80lbs and I plan on running both seats in the car. I am also changing over to 3.73 gears with bigger axles etc... I am not getting rid of the Trickflow heads or LT4 intake for now. My car ran 11.20's@120mph back when it had LT1 heads/intake and it was heavier plus it had 3.42 gears in the 10 bolt, so with a lighter car, better suspension, lower gears, better cam it should pickup quite a bit on motor but we will have to wait and see. Later
And Bret can testify that it was 3472 at the recent GMHTP shootout.
