10 psi intake vacumn pressure???

well I just resealed my intake yesterday, better gaskets, more sealent front and back it is not leaking... I am only pulling 10psi. of vacumn, is that right? I do have a 306 cam in there and a 58mm. t.b. just seems kinda low... no leaks that I can find on the intake... any one else run the 306 cam or similar and have that low of vacumn...

Just to get you in the right units of measurement, vacuum is usually expressed in inches of Mercury ("Hg) or kiloPascals (kPa).

My 846(222/230) car gets 14-16 inches of vacume, so I would expect less with a 306...

Okay I will look at the guage again.. and see if it has diff. readings.. I thought it said psi.. and normal was in the 18-22 range, but I will look.

Hg is mercurcy. You mean to say inches of mercury. A stock cam makes about 20 inches at idle. My 227/239 on a 115 makes 15-16 inches at idle. My friend's 240/240 106 lsa makes about 10-11 inches at idle. A logical guess for a cc306 would be around 12 inches at idle.

Can't be that high. As noted in the post above, a stock cam will pull about 20-21"Hg. I would think your 306 would be a bit less than 15"Hg. I run a 230/242 115LSA solid roller, and it pulls 15"Hg, but that's in a 381. With a narrower LSA and less displacement, your 306 will not make 15"Hg.

Okay I will look again, and check it, does that high mean a leak or would it read lower?

That high means you are pulling a huge vacuum, which it physically impossible, except maybe on full decel at 5000rpm with the throttle blades closed.
