how to quiet down a loudmouth?
how to quiet down a loudmouth?
Sould replacing the "resonator" with stright pipe and using 2 smaller bullet muffers towards the rear do anything? Like the Dynomax one? It's 3" in/out 4" around and less then 17" long (assuming you can fit that on the passenger side pipe out the rear? Just looking for some ideas...

Why would one even have this system at all if they wanted a quiet car ?
Seems like a HUGE OXYMORON to me.

Sell it and buy something with a complete muffler.

Maybe you should help instead of criticize...
I know someone that has a system similar to the loudmouth, but it has 3 dynomax bullet mufflers, one in the intermediate pipe and then two short ones on each talpipe. Then the exhuast shop did a good job of tucking them underneath the bumper so you cant even see it unless you are under the car. It sounds great. Not too loud at idle and cruising, but comes to life at full throttle. I like it alot and have considered ditching my hooker aerochamber to do the same. Hope this helps a little

Kind of a small pic I know, but you get the idea...

Wow there is alot of ignorant negativity on this thread
First off why would he ditch the all stainless 3 inch system for a several hundred dollar catback when he could just buy another muffler to quiet it down for under 100$?
I am in the same boat, I want to quiet my loudmouth down. When I first bought the car several years ago the loudmouth was everything I wanted. It has a great sound to it and got many compliments. As of now with a built motor, longtubes, ORY the loudmouth is too loud.
