yeah I've seen or read about a couple of ls1's going 12's. One was a 98 and a 02. tested by gmhightechperformance. The other was a total freak run. 98ss drags, lid and 410's went 12.40 at 111.

if this means anything, i just got my car 2 months ago... i call my self a decent, but NO means a good driver(track i mean), and ran 13.5 @ 104.87 all i had was a good set of tires(nitto 555r 245/50/16)

i also have a body kit, no idea how much it weighs but, it was on the car when i bought it (Xenon Body Kit, in the sig...)

so, i can say a stock LS1 with good tires, mediocre driver, hits mid 13s and the clutch is crapping out, i can see a stock one hit VERY low 13s or maybe high 12s on a great track....

r/t .074
60' 2.102
330 5.869
1/8 8.862
MPH 82.65
1000' 11.386
1/4 13.544
MPH 104.87

OTOH, my friend had a bone stock 02 Z28 A4 with 2.73.
ran 14.0 at 101 with a 2.2 sixty foot, no wheel spin at all, made many runs times were very consistant....
but the DA was 3500feet....

Would an SS/ WS6 be any faster bone stock than a Z28/non-WS6 F-body (comparing the same years) in the 1/4 mile. (same tranny, same tires, same track and conditions).

1. my uncle has a bone stock 02 WS6 M6 runs a consistant 14.1 at 101 with a driver limited 2.2 sixty.
2. another friend has a 00 ws6 A4 (3.73's only mod) run high 13's at 101ish...

ive seen many stock LS1 fbodys run high 13's at 101ish...
ive seen many stock LT1 fbody run high 14's at 97ish....

all these times at BRISTOL DRAGWAY elevation 1744, the DA is usually 3500 or so on race nights.

what would the times i listed be corrected to?

i dont know what stock lt1s run, but.. like i said, i went 13.5 @ 104.87 2.1 60'(best) but right before that had 13.7 @103.93 (2.2 60') and i need a new clutch

a transam(LS1) not sure year, ran 13.1 @ 105.42 with nitto 275 (i have 245) and he had a new clutch not sure which, forgot... he had a 1.9 60' both of our engines are stock

it might have something to do with the density altitude

The time in my sig corrected was a 13.40@106.5

Then factor in that it was on a 2.18 60'... that puts my 2000 M6 real close to a 12, with a 1.9x 60' time...

They are out there...

i'm sorry but unless you can show me a time slip i don't believe it. the quickest i've heard of from a reliable source is a 99 tested by rapid motorsports (they sell performance parts) 13.3 before they added bolt ons which now runs 11.82. maybe a newer one is a couple tenths faster, but remember. air lid is very restrictive, except for ss & ws6 the muffler is restrictive. GM doesn't want this car stock to run with the vettes from the factory. full disclosure requires you to tell if ALCOHOL was involved when you heard about your buddies quick time!
