How many LS1's went 12's bone stock?

I can cut pretty consistent 1.95 60' times on street tires w/my barely modded car. And so far my best is a 1.88 on nitto drag radials.
I think those a pretty good times for a stock engine, stock geared, stock suspension car.

Encouraging words for a 12.99 or better
I just bought a 2002 Z28 M6 (1LE) with 7,300 miles on the clock a week and a half ago.
I say that it's a 1LE because it doesn't have power anything except for A/C. It has everything I was looking for ...LS1+ M6+ Low Mileage+ Low Weight+ 500W Monsoon ;-)
I also read that old MMFF article about the sub 13 sec Zs back when the issue first came out.
Reading all the posts here about hitting 12s Stock with an M6 is very encouraging.
I will be going to Thunder Valley as soon as the weather breaks.
After my first run, I will hit the scales and see how much less it weighs than the average F-Body.
I'll post my results here when I get back from the track.

One of the last F-bodys in the world still under factory warranty

My best 60' so far is a 2.15.
My best run so far was 13.22 @ 108.2mph and that was with a terrible 2.24 60' time... screetching the tires for a good 20ft out of the hole.
If I had your 1.81, I would have run a 12.79 instead.

Its called EXCELLENT track prep. I go pretty consistent 1.95's on street tires with my M6...and thats at a track which could arguably be one of the worst prepped tracks in the country. (Orlando Speed World). Seriously, with GREAT track prep and an excellent driver, there is no reason why ANY healthy LS1 6-Speed (non convertible) shouldn't be able to make it into the 12's. 99% of the time its driver error that prohibits this. I know at my track, I see people cutting 2.3 and 2.4 60' times in their F-Bodys. They're are finally happy when they cut it down to a 2.2 or a 2.1 60' lol. Most people just don't understand or know how to actually feather out a clutch.

As far as the auto being able to run 12's stock
My 01 WS6 A4 ran a 12.98 @ 107 (2.0)
Complete mod list
MTI Lid
descreened MAF
Cut the bottom of the airbox out
removed, jack, spare tire, back seat
the run was made in good weather on street tires
this coming spring I am going after a 12.8
only added a smooth bellows

I've only had the car a couple weeks and have only been to the track in it once.
Could you please explain how one feathers out a clutch to get 1.90s.
It seemed that I either got it to bog or blaze the tires off the line. ....and that was not for a lack of trying to get it somewhere in the middle.
If I hit a 1.95 60', that would give me something like a 12.93 based on getting a 13.22 with a terrible 2.24 60' - roasting the tires.
TIA
