Please help! Did summit ruin my engine?

LS1, 02 Camaro. I ordered a stage 1 camshaft from summit, I asked if I needed to swap the valve springs, the tech said NO! 3 months later, car won't run properly. I performed all troubleshooting steps, and I've come to find the valve springs HAVE to be swapped. The stock springs are only good to .520 max lift. The cam has .600 lift on the intake.
Summit listened to the call, and admitted they messed up, however they are pretty much leaving me out to dry. I'm trying to figure out if there was coil bind. If there was, Im reading that the camshaft, lifters, pushrods, and rockers could be damaged. Please help. I'm afraid I'm gonna have to completely tear this motor down again.. thanks for helping out a youngster!

Your post went into the “approval” queue, which is an action taken by the software. Not sure why, but several of your posts have required moderator approval. I honestly don’t know why.

If there's a lesson to be learned here, it’s that you don’t rely on parts house techies, live or on the Internet, for critical build info. You need to research procedures, maybe ask questions on a forum like this, etc. That’s just the smart way to do it. Checking springs for coil bind on a cam swap, before install, is a basic requirement. Doubt you have any recourse against Summit. And I don’t think there's much point to your poll.

I been in your shoes and learned the hard way with this situation your will have to remove motor and camshaft and inspect cam ,valve train also there are companys that have cam kits you can get kits with matched cam, lifters, pushrods, springs, and timing sets
