Hey guys wass up. Ok let me explain my situation right now. IM in my mothers car right now. Ive been trying my best to get parts so I can get out of mothers car. I have a 94 LT1 camaro. Recently some of you people now that i had a Blown head gasket. Since the gasket i have bought a new cam for the motor.

I have bought NEW lifters
ANd i have bought new Rockers.
Now heres my questions.
Im really on a tight budget right now and I need to get out of my mothers car. Now I know its not recomended that you use stock springs on a new Cam. So i wanna no. since that im On a budget time frame right now. And i have to get out of my mothers car. And my car is near completion, CAN I GET AWAY with STOCK SPRINGS right now with that CAM? And how long will it last depending upon drivability and such and such. guys please reply ASAP. I need my CAR back ASAP. Thanks
Chris

Go to www.thunderracing.com and buy the Isky valve springs. They're $81 right now on special till the 31st and they're pretty good. It's what I have w/ my cam (it has .543/ .543 lift). You'll also need to get valve stem seals, spring locators, and the REV locks to go w/ those springs. All that will run you about $160, but you HAVE to do it. Stock springs will experience coil bind I'm sure with that much lift. In other words, you'd be replacing a lot more stuff sooner or later than just the springs when the stock ones break something.

i would go with the crane springs or combo's new springs good to .600 . I wouldn't want to run a spring only good to .550 on a cam with .544 lift. JW how come you chose that cam, usually cam is used for poweradders.

Thanks for the info guys. Well. im not gonna use 1.6 rocker on stock springs. ILl just use my stock rockers for now. until i get some cash for the springs. ON 1.5 rockers the lift is .501/510 little safer than 1/6. I hope that will be ok for a while. Cuase im really needed to get out of my mothers car. IF this is better please reply. Thanks

Get the CMS 612 springs from combination motorsports. ~$90 for springs good to .600, and they come with retainers and locks. Do not skimp and try to run stock springs.

for $40 more you can get brand new springs with the hardware that you know are good, instead of taking a chance that someone overrevved them and now wants to get rid of them...

New LT4 springs locks and retainers are about that new, from Jason Cromer.
