Just wondering what everyones opinion is on electric water pumps and also would it be possible to use the smog pump wires to the electric water pump providing i connected the right harness connector to the smog pump wires. Or would the computer shut the power off to the wires like it does to the smog pump. Smog pump is removed btw.

 

I have got some mixed reviews about the electric water pump most people will tell you not
to use it on your daily driver ....

 

Forget the smog pump idea (Air pump) . It's only activated during cold start for a minuet or two. You need to add a relay activated by +12v ignition on to feed the pump and/or a switch to activate the relay. Lots of places under the hood to pick +12 IGN. As far as electric Vs mechanical.. It's been beat to death search on ' pros cons electric water pumps ' . I run mechanical.
