DTC error 29 again 1995 camaro z28
Sorry guys, I know it has been discussed a few times already, and that 9 out of 10 is related to bad fuse, most likely an issue with the air pump that makes it pull more amps than it should (recall a log time ago it seems).
My relay is good, fuse is intact and even if I unplug the connector from the pump, error 29 still happens. After a few minutes with the engine running "service engine" light comes up and fan is turned on.
I thought the system was dumb enough not to care about it if the plug was not connected, but it seems I was wrong.
I guess I will need to remove the pump and have someone to fix it.
Any other ideas related to code 29? What can I do to eliminate de code until i get it fixed? With the plug disconnected it starts up hair fine without de service engine light, but after a few minutes is pops up.
Thanks

Do you have 12 volts at fuse #7? The PCM wiring diagram shows that the circuit includes a fusible link in the red wire between the battery and the fuse.

It does not care what is going on with the fan motor, or how much current it is using but it does care about the relay. It must be there, not open circuit, AND .... have 12v power to it. Look at the voltage on pin E1 of the relay socket. If no 12v, that is the problem. Check the fusible link as Fred advised.

Ok, I have found the issue. I have decided to check if the signal was getting from ecm to relay, and it was not. Then checking the c100/c105 near by the ECM i found out that the previous owner had made a mass there cutting and splicing things together. Rebuilt everything z and then both of my problems were solved. Code 29 as well as 69 and now my A/C compressor is kicking in OK.
Thanks
