i have a 96 z28 camaro. i put a comp cam, roller rockers n headers on it. it started up great!! then i took the heads of to the machine shop n got high compression valve springs on them, put the motor back together. timing is perfect, it gets spark... then i relized the fuel pump is not turning on so i bought a relay n it still wontturn on. what could it be?? i dont think the fuel pump would just stop working with out me messin with it, it has had the same gas in it for 2 years cuz it was sitting. please help me find out n give me oppinions thanks

 

Have you verified there is power to the pump? How long since the car was last run? Is the battery fully charged?

 

yess. i tryed hookin it up to the battery just to see if it would turn on so hopefully it is. and it was last ran about 2 month ago. battery is fully charged. i took the fuel pump out asnd gonna buy a new one tomorrow to see if it will work. il let you know!

 

There's an extra grey wire with a connector in the harness just before the PCM (towards the pass side front) - you can pull that out of the loom and use it to test the FP. Did you use that to test it?
