Fuel pump

Hi everyone Im new to the forums I have a 1994 camaro lt1 with pacesetter longtubes ,kand n cold air kit .My fuel pump died on me and was wondering can I use a 1996 corvette fuel pump because at autozone and evey other parts store they sell the complete assembly for my car and I only want the pump. I was wondering if the corvettes fuel pump would fit or if I could use some other cars fuel pump because I really need the car asap and I would order one from the internet but it wouldnt get here till later this week. The reason I ask about a corvette fuel pump is because they sell that fuel pump by itself for that vehicle. So if any of you all have any suggestions to what fuel pump can I buy that will fit my car please let me know?

You can go to autozone and pick one up also. They give you a generic version i used one for a year when mine first went out and it ran fine. They used to sell delphi units but quit selling them or i just couldnt find any in the state of oklahoma. If i were you and your going to go with quality Id go to hawksthirdgen parts online they have a 255 LPH high pressure pump which is a walbro fuel pump. you wont beat the price. Make sure if your going to do the pump yourself get as much gas out of the tank as possible the first time i did it the tank fell on me and i had to bench press it off of me. I even had to stick a crow bar in the filler neck of the tank to straighten it out to be able to wedge the tank out of its position. I dont know if youve done this before but you can go to autozone and buy a haynes manual that can show you step by step on how to do it.
