code 41
DTC 41 = Ignition Control (IC) circuit (open circuit)
Could be the white wire from the PCM to the IC module, the 12V power from the coil connector to the IC module, a faulty IC module. Use Shoebox's IC module test procedure:

I took the car to Ed Wright Fast Chip in Tulsa and we worked on the code, chased it down to a voltage drop but ran out of time and couldn't go any futher until I fixed the bad wire! Now I got this bdas car that I can't get turned cause of a slight voltage drop! It isn't causing any malfuntions in anyway! just causing that pesky code 41 to pop off. Ed has since retired !!!!!! And in Okla city area I don;t know of anybody that is close to his skill level, wa, wa, SO my question is can I take the car to someone and get it tuned with the code 41 displaying?:
I never heard of a code that would prevent you from reprogramming. If that is what you are asking. One thing Ed Wright was famous for though was locking tunes. I hear he quit doing that at some point but I have seen some of his that were locked. If your's won't reprogram that is probably why.
