More timing is not always better, "could have" does not = "should have". Best way to determine optimum timing is on a dyno measuring hp, AF ratio, and EGT's.

I agree.

I have seen some instances were too much timing cause a drop in hp. Most people are under the impression that as long as you see no knock you can just keep turning up the timing until you encounter knock.

Well.. that depends... it depends on the RPM range you are doing this. remember best power is achieved when the full explosion occurs at 15ºATDC IIRC...

I ran 26 with 10psi...
