I don't think I understand your question... That is ATI's new inlet, and that's how it was intended to be mounted.

Re: ATI new inlet tube

oic, I don't have that black shield that's under your filter. Also, I don't have my 90 deg rubber elbow angled up like that...mine is just perpendicular to the ground, therefore my filter hangs really low. I didn't know it was supposed to be mounted like that, i just followed the diagram, but was going to adjust it a bit when I had the chance. I wanted to give the filter more ground clearance.

It looks good tho, any problems in the rain?

I don't drive my car in the rain anymore, but there's another guy in town that doesn't have a problem at all with it.

$220? Mine was $150 plus shipping. I don't see any more (or less) boost than the old setup. The reason ATI re-designed it was to make it fit better and get rid of the orange hose. They tried to make it flow as good a possible, but the priority was to make it fit. It flows about the same as the dryer hose.

Re: ATI new inlet tube

The opening probably won't be large enough for an F1, huh?

Technically the inlet will fit on an F1, as the F1 shares the same inlet/outlet sizes as the P1SC and D1SC, but it may hinder the flow a little bit on your high-boost setup. What style of inlet do you have on the car now??

I have a custome fabricated metal intake tube that I had powdercoated black. It does restrict my set up a little bit... 6 psi to be exact. So I just pulled the intake tube off to see full boost.

Re: ATI new inlet tube

This may seem dumb but, why not just put a Filter on the outlet instead of trying to have the air make all those turns????

A lot easier said than done as there isn't a lot of room. The header would be kind of close if a filer stuck out. I have been trying to find a short filter to install, but I haven't been successful. I just did a little more searching.

Something like this might work.

Yep, it probably won't help you much!

Yeah, but there isn't much filter area there, and it will probably hurt more than anything.

I was thinking of just using that filter for driving on the street. Just to be on the side of caution. With a small filter like that, it is easy to get to, and can easily be removed... unlike my intake tube (that is somewhat of a restriction to begin with). Let's face it, there is no way that I want to see 22 psi on the street anyway.
