I don't like the way Procharger deals with the air filter. I still don't have a solution after all these years.

in that case, my temp sensor is in the stock location, I'm utilizing the stock elbow. The intake system is "stock" until after the MAF, where the ati ypipe begins.

Get with it man.

I found a solution for my setup and it cost me less than a hundred bucks and imo looks and flows much better than the new ati piece.

Re: ATI new inlet tube

just an update on the inlet. The kit did not come with a clamp to clamp the 90 deg rubber elbow to the plastic part that connects directly to the head unit. I didn't think it was necessary because the rubber elbow was a tight fit over the plastic end. I put a maybe 150 miles on it as is...and a few hard runs down the road, seemed to work fine.

However...today I go to take it out for a short joy ride, and before I got down to the end of my street...i hear something hit the floor...and tumble under my car! Sure enough, it was the filter, the metal bend, and the rubber elbow. The rubber elbow slipped off the plastic...i guess it was my fault for not clamping it, but none of the clamps included would fit over the rubber and allow room for it to stretch over the abs plastic opening. Anyways, my filter was crushed...lol, so I ordered a new one and went to home depot and got a big *** clamp...that sucker isn't coming off again.

Re: ATI new inlet tube

Man...there is no way I would be able to fabricate that myself! Is that 4 inch or 3 inch tubing off of the inlet?

It's 4". I picked up 3 bends from a local big truck store for about 75 bucks or so.

Re: ATI new inlet tube

Yeah. The stock bracket for the 4th gen body style was never going to fit. It put the unit in the way of the steering box. I went through a lot of templates before I got it right.

I'm surprised I got it to fit that good. I literally can't move it an inch up down left or right or forward or backward. I could have made the bend a little wider but I wanted to keep it under the stock hood.

The filter is actually supposed to tuck up way further than the one in the pictures posted. I'll try to get pics of my setup and post them up.... there shouldn't be any water problems with the new setup!
