No biggie. I lent my father $3500 so once I get some of that money within the next few months I'll be ready to make the purchase. Maybe make a post in the Vender/GP forum in the meanwhile so we can try and set something up with a vendor. I have a feeling we might have to go directly through Strange though.

S60. I love mine. It has taken 5k+ clutch dumps on a ~3800lb car without a peep.

Pretty sure you will need to get a custom driveshaft through Spohn or another manufacture for the S60.

Yes - driveshaft must be shortened. From the Spohn website:
Application: 1993-2002 GM F-Body

The Strange Engineering Dana 60 Rear..... when quality matters!

Strange Engineering's Dana 60 rear replaces the weak 7.5" rear end found in F-Body cars.

The Strange Dana 60 rear end features the following:

Standard 35 spline Strange S/T axles
Massive 9.75" ring gear
Premium nodular iron case and caps
Adjuster nuts for precise and easy set-up
One piece center for enhanced rigidity
Accepts 3 or 4 channel ABS
Multiple center section choices (see option box)
Fully welded 3.00" x .250" axle tubes
Large 3.150" housing ends - eliminating c-clip axles
Manufactured to "bolt-in"
Optional aluminum rear cover
Standard axle is 35 spline, or upgrade to 40 spline solid or gun-drilled!
Accepts 93-97 or 98-02 disc or drum brakes
25# heavier than a 12 bolt, 10# heavier than a 9" but without the 9" power loss!
Strange Engineering offers the strongest and easiest to install Dana 60 rear end in the industry. The Strange designed casting is poured from premium, highly ductile, nodular iron. The casting is machined with mated lightweight chrome-moly caps to exacting tolerances, using the latest Mazak machinery - ensuring an unyielding foundation that maximizes gear life and eases gear set installation.

What's in the set-up? Everything! Each rear end is meticulously assembled by a set-up department unsurpassed in the rear end market - the same department that fastidiously assembles $20,000 Top-Fuel rear ends. We do not mass-produce rear ends. Each rear end receives the attention, regardless of time, needed to provide our customers with the best possible assembly. Every rear end component is relentlessly scrutinized by our experienced set-up department - including massaging each tooth of every gear set in order to optimize tooth contact.

Strange Engineering has been the leader in driveline and suspension for over 40 years by paying special attention to detail - the Strange Dana 60 rear end is no exception. The Strange rear end features 360* fully welded tubes, large 3.150" i.d. housing ends, 1350 series pinion yoke and 35 spline axle shafts. Each rear end is fully crated to ensure the recipient of an uneventful delivery experience. The pride instilled into a Strange set-up is evident with the set-up technician's signature and date engraved into each ring gear.

Brakes

1998-2002 F-Body: You will need to send in your brake backing plates/caliper mounts a week before the rear will be built so they can be built into the rear, or you can choose to have Strange supply you with new brake backing plates, it's your choice. If you choose the 4 channel ABS option, the price includes new reluctor rings installed on the axles.

1993-1997 F-Body: If you choose no ABS you will need to choose the Strange supplied new billet aluminum brake backing plates option. If you choose ABS, the price includes new billet aluminum brake backing plates.

ABS: ABS options are NOT available with a spool.

Driveshaft

Installation of the Strange Dana 60 rear will require shortening your driveshaft 1.625". If you will be ordering a Spohn built Extreme-Duty or Top-Gun driveshaft, be sure to specify you have a Strange Dana 60 rear.
And when you order a Spohn TA, you have to specify its for a Strange 60 (or any other rear).

Im running the S-60... LOVE IT! I work at a Chevy Dealership and all the techs were teasin me because the thing was beefy when I put it in! They were asking if I was gonna hook up rearends with one of their Duramax trucks to see which one held up the longest. HAHA. Seriously, love it though. You can get the chromemoly driveshaft from Strange. I had to cut my Spohn torque arm, I used a torch. I cringed a little bit, but man after driving the car now, I dont mind one bit. That stock rear end scared my from the moment I dropped in the 438rwhp motor! haha. I no longer get scared when Im flying through the gears and ropping on her!

That's my biggest complaint with running the S60 over the Strange 12 bolt. I'll have to cut into the spohn tq arm. It's not to say I would rule it out because I'm not but I don't wanna hack up a beautifully machined piece of steel either. Did you have to re-paint or powder coat yours? What else could be used besides a torch that would provide the most precise/clean cut?
Edit: Looking at the picture in your profile of the tq arm cut, it's not that bad looking at all! I might just go that route because after repainting it the tq arm would look pretty clean.

Call up Strange and see if they'll do a GP for two of them and take shipping off for us. I'm almost positive they would work out a deal on two
