just wondering if anyone here is running one of these. im about to buy an s60 and know i dont want a spool, so this is my other option. do you guys like them? i just want a diff that will lock both wheels up when doing burnouts, and put full power to both wheels on launchs, yet not bind up in tight turns in parking lots, thanks guys!
I run a trutrac in a 12 bolt 33 spline Moser. About 4 years. I have had no troubles. It has great torque bias on corners. Splits torque evenly depending on road surface conditions @ each drive wheel. I run a red line synthetic. B.
so it will do what i want it to? do you drag your car much, and if you do, do you like the way it launchs? i just want something i can romp on in a turn and leave 2 marks and not one, just something that will spin both when i want it to. is it pretty quiet of loud? haha sorry about all the questions, thanks guys!!
Back in the '80s, I had two 4x4 pickups (a 1/2 ton and a 3/4 ton). I put a TrueTrac in the FRONT differential of each of them. They performed flawlessly. You can imagine that the torque bias in the front position was high due to the aiming of the wheels for steering. They never kicked around and always directed power to both wheels. Those trucks almost never got stuck either
FWIW, I had a Detroit Locker in the rear of the 3/4 ton (GM 14-bolt), and a race-prepped GM Positraction in the 1/2 (GM 12-bolt).
