s60 or 12 bolt

when its done, my car will hopefully make around 500 rwhp. i know both rears will hold this no problem, but which would be the best option for price? also where should i buy at? moser or strange? whats some of the pros and cons for both? should i just go for the s 60? idk what to do, thanks guys!

My preference is the Strange S60. Priced about the same, a bit heavier than a 12 bolt, but bulletproof.

thats what im thinking, im leaning towards the s60. which, at the power level i will end up at, buying a driveshaft will be a good idea anways, so thats not a big deal. cause from what ive gathered you need a shorter driveshaft for the s60. so ill just get that from strange to. so 30lbs heavier, ill just buy a k member and it will even out less power loss than a 12 bolt from what ive gathered, and slightly stronger. so are there any cons to it, or any pros to a 12bolt? im starting to lean more towards the s60, even tho its a big price tag for me.

Auto or manual?
For an auto get a Strange 12 and never look back. That's what's in my car. Total bolt in and lighter.
For a manual get a Strange S60. Bolts right in except for the sway bar u-bolts.

the "s60" (strange dana 60 in a fbody config.) is a strange rearend, not a moser design. so you will have to run it from them and purchase it from one of their vendors.

Check in the Vendor/Group Purchase section. I'm trying to get a group purchase going on Strange rear ends. I'm also looking at both of those options but leaning towards the S60. Let me know what you come up with because I'm sure we'll get a better deal with more buyers.

some fyi if you plan on running the S60 with a bmr or spohn tq arm (I have the spohn body mount). http://www.speedinc.com/pdf/S60.pdf
Not sure what I would use to make the cut but it doesn't seem to be that difficult of a procedure. I just wish I didn't have to cut up a nice expensive tq arm mount.

Well, I didn't see it listed anywhere in the faq but I would still contact them just to make sure. Let me know who you end up going through and we'll try to work out a group purchase on it. Last I saw people were picking them up for around $2,000 with a group purchase.

All depends on how many buyers we need to get a deal that low. Otherwise I could see $2500+ for an individual purchase.
