I guess it depends what you mean by "possible". If you have the fab skills to do it yourself, I bet you wouldn't be asking the question here. If you plan on having a shop do it, the answer is "yes, but." It is a big job and just not cost effective to have it done. It involves making provisions for a torque arm mounting point, getting the axle tubes the correct length (either cutting them or replacing them, depending in the width of the original) fabbing or adapting brake mounting plates and suspension mounts. You would need new axles with the correct length and with the correct flange to mount your wheels. It's a lot of work. And, of course, you will be installing a 30yo rear end. Most likely you will need a new differential and a new ring and pinion. It would could as much, or more likely more than buying a new, ready to bolt in unit. You will also lose the ABS.

Re: Rear questions

if the main section is in good condition, and u want to still use it, u could get the axle housing to fit the f-body suspension

you would then need to modify the main section to accept a torque arm

basically u need to modify everything
and you will probably end up changing the ring and pinion and the diff type

why buy it and then change every part of it?
not usually worth the money
