Body colored body side moldings

I have a red 95 Z28 with door moldings that are dirty looking. I'm referring to the ones that stretch from front fender down door and onto rear quarter. My question is are they painted or red plastic/rubber all the way thru or painted? Also how should I brighten them up without ruining them?

Merry Christmas everyone

Patrick

They're painted. They have faded on my car as well. That's how I know they're painted.

IMO.......the Camaro's looks so much better with the molding off. And I notice great gains at the track with them off

less is more.....I would just ditch them......or I can send you my black ones to put on

+1 on just removing them. Looks 10x better and cleaner when they are removed.

Re: Body colored body side moldings

Just had my car painted and replaced all the moldings.... I happen to like the look. I bought all OEM and when they showed up at the shop they were white and needed to be painted.
