Re: 4l60 swap

The 4L60 was used up to 93. 94 and up is the 4L60E. There will be a mismatch on the converter lockup, because 94 is a switched lockup, and 95 is pulse width modulated. I believe the wiring harness is different, and the PCM control is different.

Re: 4l60 swap

Definitely not. The '95 unit is a PWM (Pulse Wirth Modulated) unit, which means it has an extra soolenoid, and a different locj up strategy. It will throw a cose immediately, and go into limp mode...

You would need to add a wire to the trans harness and flash your pcm with a 95 tune to use the 95 trans

Re: 4l60 swap

i have a little something to add..or a question i suppose..can the 94 pcm be programmed to run the pwm trans or do you have to use the 95 in order to pulse width modulate the soloniod?

You need a '95 PCM and wiring harness. The '95 has an extra wire from the PCM to the transmission
