L98, LTx, or LSx, simplest to install on '87 IROC?

I blew a piston in the 305 on my '87 IROC, manual transmission. A while back I had already decided on swapping for a 350, guess it's happening a lot sooner. I need to know which of the three mentioned is the best option in terms of total cost (cheapest) and the amount of work/modifications that will need to be done (simplest), maybe a brief list of what they will be, like wiring, fuel system, etc. All I know is that I'll have to swap the T5 as well, probably to a T56. Speed/hp isn't a top priority (at this moment), I'll focus on that later on. Thanks in advance!

Probably best to limit this topic to a single forum. Get's too confusing when you have three different threads going, and you lose continuity on the responses. If you don't feel that you will get representative answers on the three "powertrain" forums, I can move the thread that already has a response to "General 67-02 F-Body Tech".

The "cheapest" is probably going to be the L98. You can buy the T.P.I harness and the pcm and go at it.
Is your IROC the tpi or tbi?
