DFI or BS3 and HOW????
Have my car in sig and I;m looking into doing bigger heads and a huge solid roller hopefully shift around 7400rpm. And I have several ?'s
1) CAN the stock ecu handle it
2)If not which aftermarket system is better and why
3) i want to retain my optispark as the distributor
4) I want ALL other functions of my car to work 100% from the a/c to the abs to the dashboard
5) I want to do this WITHOUT having to splice into or cut up ANY of my stock wiring harness
6) will car then be speed density or still mass air
PLEASe Help me out as I have very very limited knowledge on these units and have already used the search function.

Ya i'm hopng it's gonna be pretty wicked. Solid Roller 25x/26x duration or bigger, some LE ported Trick Flows, some Jesel Shafties, I'm getting excited cant wait to get it all done cant wait to hear 8000 rpm outta a big cube LT1. Should sound like a super comp car with that huge cam!!
Nick do you go to any cruise nights around us or anything, cause 2010 season we should def roll out the LT1's together. IDK about you but my car has a pretty bad @ss rep around town.

Oh BTW looks like I'm going FAST XFI, getting a KILLER deal from Horsepower Connection. They are supplying me with a SWEET harness to splice into my factory engine harness, so I will be leaving my stock ECU in place and will be splicing the XFI into it to control the engine. Will be running speed density and The guy at Horsepower connection is even gonna pre-load a tune into the XFI so that the car should start and I will have a starting point for tuning.
Nick who tuned your car???

I would like to do some cruise nights in 2010, I did none this year. Let me know if you need any help. I won’t be doing any more mods to my car this winter, wouldn't mind giving a hand. Jesel shafts are a good choice, I run them myself. As for my tune, I'm still running a PCM for Less mail order tune from 5 years ago. On TTP's dyno last year when they had their open house, my AFR was REALLY rich throughout the RPM range, around 11:0 and I only put down 420 RWHP. I know there are at least another 20 or 30 HP and TQ to come with a good tune. I might try an Ed Wright tune first. You might have seen my brothers GTO around town, he works in Parsippany. It’s a yellow '05 with 19" mesh type wheels on it. As for my rep around town, if I have one, I haven’t heard of it yet.

Hmmm don't think I've seen your bro's car around, I know there ios a red goat floating around that's cammed up pretty good tho.
I had a Bryan Herter mail order tune, it was close enough for the car to run pretty decent. But on the street it would almost like bog a bit and then all of a sudden it would take off, was actually kinda fun LOL. Then I had Julio at Cartek tune it and I'm pretty happy with the tune driveability is pretty good. I actually put down 420 rwhp too but I was opposite of you I ran outta fuel at 5400 rpm, need bigger injectors. So i was probably 20-30 hp away from where I should be too. I'm hoping for about 480 rwhp in my new setup maybe even 500 with the XFI. FYI Bryan Herter does dyno tuning in PA if I was keeping my stock ECU i would prob let him give it a shot next time, I dont think Cartek has LT1 edit anymore but I'm not sure. So you might wanna give that a shot too, I have an open car trailer too if you needed it, cause I know I wouldnt drive my car that far.
Oh how do you like your single plane??? How are its street manners, and did you notice a big diff when you converted? What kinda single plane setup are you running??
