A few questions on DFI

Hey guys, I have a few questions on which DFI system to buy. I have the Accel Gen6 version now, but the guy who programs it for me will not tune it for nitrous. He tells me to get the new Gen7. Now I'm not sure which to buy, Accel, fast, or the Holley system. I'm also not sure if I need the wide band o2. My tuner uses one when he programs my car so would I still need it? (is it only used for tuning?)I'm new at DFI so any help would be great. BTW my car is an 85 camaro.
Thanks in advance

Get a new tuner. The 6.0 box does a nice job with up to three stages of NOS. Sounds like he does not know how to tune a 6.0 box based on what I have read into what you posted.

He's supposed to very good but I was thinking the same. He did a great job tuning my last engine. He's also the only tuner that I know of in NY. Thanks

That is why I would stay away from any DFI. They make it so tough to deal with their EMIC's that you are always at their doorsteps. They even have a password lockout on the 7.0 box that makes it so that you can not enter your own computer if the tuner so chooses.

If you get a FAST you will be able to tune it yourself in no time and always be safe due to the WB O2. The DFI has had issues with theirs even working.
