voltage problems??
I just recently installed and aftermarket amp with aftermarket speakers but kept my stock headunit.. when i turn the a/c and radio on while i'm driving i see the battery gauge dip down to the red area even though its right at the edge I was wondering is their something i can do to help it not get there
details on the amp/speakers would help -- are we talking over 1000 watts?
I would take readings other ways rather than rely on the gauge just to see what exactly you are at.
As far as helping -- could try upgrading the charging system wiring....works for some -- typically though the stock wiring is sufficient up to 1000 watts and should be able to handle at least what your alternator puts out. Other than that, H/O alternator. (your alternator could also just be going bad..)
