I got my weenie stomped on a long while back for saying that same thing; that Poncho should have BMW in its sights like a laser....

I hope they do it.... I killed the purchase of an 300 SRT-8 because there is a hint that Pontiac (and Chevy as well) will have offerings that will blow it away in the 2010 time frame.

Any vehicle that is ecotech only will NOT be on my list. Not because it is not a cool idea, but because there will be way more compelling vehicles on the road by then. Also, I personally do not like small cars...but that is just my preference.

My guess on this is that something (ie the small RWD platform we have been discussing for years) got approved by GM's board and Charlie got word through a "contact" haha.

I'll tell you something Branden, I love Camaros. But if the 5th gen comes in too big and too fat for me - I really don't care if it comes with an LS7 and quad sequential turbos - it'll just turn me off.

A smaller, lighter, 300 hp car, may be preferable to me.

I think you missed the hint... look the letters over again.

I for one welcome small rwd cars, as long as the price and performance stay competitive.

I was looking at it as "- - -" meant 3 letters in front of an "a" and three lettes after. So I looked for a seven letter word with a centered a. There isnt one in the greek alphabet... But i can see how it directs us towards "Alpha", but that just seems too blunt to be a "hint".

Yup, me too. Maybe it's just too obvious and we aren't seeing it.

Isn't it obvious? The secret code word is "macacca".

Hey, I hope so too. In fact, I think it would make perfect sense. Of course, you'll get alot of resistance to something like that from 7 or 8 guys on the internet.......but I feel it'll bring new buyers into Pontiac showrooms - in the same way that Solstice does.

I look at this thread somewhat with frustration. For those who are able to connect the dots, there is a literal cornucopia of info in this thread. But most of the reactions are huh?, duh?, wha? <insert drooling smilie>.

Perhaps everyone is so invested in the FALSE rumors being perpetuated, that somehow, a super secret GTO program, unknown even, to those people who would normally be tasked to work on one, would somehow produce a game changing, (albeit even if extremely low volume), division saving product for Pontiac......... even, yes - EVEN - perhaps, before Camaro's own release. So completely invested in this false rumor, that they can't wrap their heads around what the true reality is at Pontiac.

To survive, Pontiac will need to reshape itself. GM knows it too.

Let me put it like this. Without this new line-up, Pontiac is dead. You guys get that?

A small kappa like sedan for Pontiac would be the greatest automotive move for that divison since the original GTO.
