IMO the best thing for GM would be to get the Coupe and Sedan out together as close as they can.

Can you imagine if one company was able to launch the 300 and Mustang at the same time? A bold G8 and a hot Camaro.

I guess a boy can wish.

 

I'd forget about the G8. I'd be thinking two Bowties.

That was my initial thinking, but we're getting a restyled Impy and MC in 2006. As much as I'd love to see a RWD Impy SS return, I can't see GM ditching the 2006 in two or three years and I don't really want a four door MC. Malibu doesn't have the name... but...

Impala sure carries a lot of weight with baby boomers and hip hop culture, and it certainly could have the gangerster/mobster appeal that the 300 has to both of those groups.

 

I'm finally really exited now. I have been hopefully guarded about the prospects of a new Camaro but hearing him say Camaro in reference to the future is a breath of fresh air. At the same time I am sad that I didn't make it to the gathering this year.

I agree with Z284ever, I think the Chevelle could make a comback as a sedan. We will /hopefully/ have enough coupes in a couple years...

 

the coupe first sedan second (but only by a year) and heres why. first of all GM already has lots of sedans spanning EVERY type of 4 door car. pony cars?0. keep a current sedan going an extra year.
second: you get the Camaro out first so that you can advertise the camaro being on a new sporty chassis. the next year you advertise the sedan as being on the same shassis as a sports car (and go for the sport sedan segment)
flip that the other way around, what do you get? a nothing special rwd sedan platform that the next year you have to say you put a sports car on a sedans platform.

which sounds better?
all new sporty RWD chassis for a camaro that u can say a sedan is on the same platform with a sports car
or a new rwd chassis for a sedan that you have to tell people a sports car is on a sedan's chassis.
no matter how good it is i think the second one will be harder to sell to people

I was waiting for some one else to point that out! I bet he knows now he was being taped. I checked it out earlier, and then went back again, and its outta there! Figured I'd soak it in, and go back to it later after I read some of your comments on here! Guess not! Certainly, Scott should do the unveiling, and hopefully he doesn't get any heat from that! Two Bowties is exactly what I was thinkin' too, first a Camaro, then a Chevelle. Sweet! Cept the 2-3 yrs. comment. Damn, anyone happen to write that down?
