This M3 is nowhere in danger of being an S2000. Read the specs - 85% of torque (that's 250 lbs-ft) are available from 2000 RPM.

Where I agree with you - German cars feel better at high speeds than even our f-body.

Had my Z up to 240 km/h. While it didn't inspire confidence that I could travel safely at that speed, I did not feel that the car was about to lose control and explode. It felt fine. Part of the reason it didn't feel confident is because I dont' feel confident at such high speeds - literally zero experience.

However, even my older A6 (2.8L) felt better at 200 km/h than my Z - smoother and relatively uneventful.
