Aye, that's why my 54 year old father is looking for a C2, which I'll assume he'll never have over 3500 rpms. Huge midlife crisis, but Im not going to complain if he'll let me drive it

Actually it's Budget (or Hertz if you want a Ford owned agency). I'm hoping to trade the rented Malibu in on one today (it's hard to actually get to one at the moment).

Little off topic but do y’all think the DC2 derivatives (cougar and thunderbird) will be first to get an IRS over at the blue oval?

I'd be someone's farm on it. The chassis already is IRS capable and likely already has an IRS assembly already done.
