New lightweight G2 LCA's and PHR!
Panhard rod, LCAs They're almost 10 lbs. lighter than stock, 29 lbs. lighter than Hotchkis, and 1/2 the weight of our steel G2 parts.
The exact weight breakdown is as follows:
stock PHR: 5.38#
G2 steel PHR: 5.75#
G2 lightweight PHR: 2.28#
stock LCA: 4.58# each
G2 steel LCA: 3.5# each
G2 lightweight LCA: 1.7# each
The total weight for the stock rear suspenion components (PHR and both LCA's) is 14.7#, while our G2 steel components come in at 12.75#. The G2 lightweight rear suspension pieces tip the scales at 5.28#! FYI, they are made of aluminum, so that's where the weight savings comes from.
Exactly what we used for the World Challenge cars, with High quality rod ends.
Cost:
panhard bar, with left/right rod ends $179.00
Lower Control arms left/right rod ends $239.00 pr
all hardware included
You can deduct $14 per rod end for a less expensive rod end, although THEY WILL BE NOISY with the cheaper rod ends. They are still strong, they will just "rattle".
The standard, (expensive) rod ends should give good service, for quite a while.
Give me a call at the shop if you are interested in a set. We don't have them on our web page yet, but I'm working on it. Check the links below for pictures. These are intended for off-road use only, so use them at your own risk on the streets. We have to include that for liability reasons. It's the same reason you're told this when you buy aftermarket springs, camshafts, etc. FWIW, it takes 8 TONS to deflect them, so I think they'll be safe. With that said, I should have a set of these on my car soon.
