LOL This is really a trip when one man can stir up this much anticipation for months with no pics, but it's good to see that new ideas are what people want. There are'nt many custom body mods other than the xenon, wings west, Rk sport, and Vizage kits for the 93-02's. So like the rest of you all I'm tryin to be different and break necks at the same time. I still keeping seeing Lamborghini doors for some reason, but wont buy the brackets until I "KNOW" I have somebody to bolt them on right.

puren12- What color are you going with for the show season (back with the black?). And cant I take my original hood (2000 camaro) and have it wrapped in white carbon fiber or is that a whole other thread?

Probably either black or Electron Blue once I get some performance mods done.

And I am not sure if they actually make genuine white carbon fiber.. I have never seen it.

ive seen red, blue, black, black and grey, red and grey, blue and grey, green, green and grey, grey, and brown carbon fiber. and yes, it was real carbon fiber, not the cheap vinyl stuff. im pretty sure there is white out there, at least white and grey. the blue stuff looks sweet though. so does the red.

I've seen the usual colors, black/gray, blue/gray, red, orange, etc... and even white (www.flautotrim.com) The dash kits are sold through Nopi for $150. "exoticwooddash.com" can coat anything you send to them but I dont know if they could handle a whole hood. But being that I'd want the hood "wrapped" in CF and not to have to make a mold for it. What I really need is a company that sells CF buy the sheet, Pre-reg and non pre-reg. I learned alot of how to make CF parts and molds and how to vacuum out the air to seal the CF on the mold from a Super street article. plus the difference in CF (3K vs. 6K). Problem is I have neither the time or the "proper" tools to do the job right. But I guess if I keep searching I'll come up with a site. But here's my immediate problem:

*Bought an LS1 Borla muffler from Ebay, It's only 1in/1out and it's a 3". So how am I supposed to run dual tips? And how can this be an LS1 muffler?

I know this is off the thread but we need something to do while we wait for Whistlers pics right?

Borla mufflers for the ls1 and lt1 are only 1 in and 1 out. The other side doesn't go through the muffler it is right off the I-pipe.

http://www.thunderracing.com/index.c...ategoryid=1051

Scroll down till you find the borla, the pic will show what I am talking about.

I have a question for the folks who are definately doing this mod: Are you going to keep your current spoiler, modify it, or run with no spoiler altogether? Thanks.

edit: Or does it not matter because the rear panel and spoiler are separate and won't 'clash' no matter what?

I will be combining this C5 Taillight Panel with my new 98+ SS Spoiler for a subtle clean look.

I'd personally just leave it alone. The stock spoiler is ok but not my style. The C5 just looks sweet on its own. I'm picturing the 98+ SS Spoiler like Paul mentioned and I can see that working as long as you have the stuff done like he has (rims, body kit, etc). If its a stock car with nothing done and you put the C5 rearend with the SS Spoiler, it might look a little strange.

I guess we will find out one day won't we

Yeah, I can picture the panel, but having trouble picturing the panel along with a spoiler, but now I'm wondering because I've been strongly considering this mod these past few days...

The C5R headlights are just HELLA 90mm. So that is pretty easy to do.

And I believe that whistler was "considering" making molds of his custom C5 front clip.

I think everything he has done so far is very tasteful, and not trying to BE a vette, but rather borrowing subtle styling cues from the better car, which is hands down...the C5

You may want to try sending a PM to JAMIROBri...he sent his rear panel (with the CAMARO letters in it) and had it coated in CF...although I don't know if it was the real stuff or not. I think the company he went through was http://www.socalcustoms.com and I'm pretty sure he was real happy with the results.
