Why the hell would anybody want to have somebody come behind them thinking "wow, a C5" only to say, "oh, some wannabe poser?" I just don't get it, yeah, the C5s look badass from the back, and, from all other POVs, but, you guys don't have a C5?? I just don't get it, but, oh well.

Yup. Not to mention, I think it's a bit poserish. We should call it the "Poorvette" mod. It's for people who are too poor/cheap to by a Corvette.

And I'm sure the flames will ensue.

I say it will be different looking and I will also say kudo's to fabricators that can do stuff like whistler has done. Unfortunately waiting this long just to see a pic or for it to be done i say i wouldn't put in an order just cause i would be worried about when it would ever be done. OVERALL I say if he can do it and sell them good for him and good for the poeple who wanted it.

New idea-stop posting on this old thread unless you have pics, or even better yet start a new thread. For the past week I check thinking new pics are up, and its everyones opinions on what it will look like. I have an idea-wait until he shows you what the finished product is.

Sorry guys, in case you haven't noticed by his other work (His car, mine, Keith's) Chris (Whistler) is a perfectionist, which trust me is a good thing. You aren't going to get a pic untill it's on the car he wants it on taken with the camera he wants it taken with. I've been out of town (the wedding and mother's day) but am now back so get ready to clean up your own jiz because pic's are coming. It does look great by the way. The panel curves with the car and so does the light. They look better than they do on a C5 because they are flush, and yes to do all this did take the man all of the past half a year, you want pics faster go spend the amount of time he did learning his craft, make your own, and snap some pics. I rushed the first guy who painted my car and it turned to crap in a month. I let Chris take his time on my car and it always gathers a crowd at every car show six months later.

Thank you, 5LITEREATER!!! I'm just as excited as everyone else to see these pics but as soon as you guys start bashing Whistler for taking a long time he's going to quit helping people out...give him a break and let him work on it. I'm sure he's got other **** to do other than work on extra projects.

Just be patient and be happy when it's done!

We need a smile pounding a nail into a coffin to signify the death of this thread.

It wasnt a matter of just taking some pics of the panel, I had to install it first. My car has been parked in my driveway saving wear and tear in the tires and engine for the Power Tour at the end of this month. I've been driving a Z3 to work... and the panel was at my work where I built it.

So I had to bring my car to work, install the panel, then get someone to take some digital pics(I dont have a scanner) then post them.

Anyhow... check out the new thread. Check out the pics.... let me know what you think.

And let this thread DIE!!!
