Angry Problems with guage overlay.

The spedo keeps rubbing on the overlay, so my spedo doesnt work very well (doesnt go all the way down, sometimes jumpy). I just spent 2 hours yesterday taking the car apart trying to adjust it, then it worked for a day now its doing the same thing. I would like to move it a little, but then everything wont line up with the bazel. Maybe i should put a few dabs of glue to hold it on, but im not sure. Any advice?

Sounds like a good idea. Did you have the same problem?

Did you remove the stock one? If not that could be a problem. I had that problem because directions stated to leave in on but I removed it to fix the problem.

No, i thought it didnt matter. How does the stock overlay come out? Is there anything to hold to white one in place, because my overlay is like rubber.

Re: Problems with guage overlay.

I had the same problem with my Tach it didn't do it at first but started after a while. I believe i had the same over lays that you have now. I don't know of a fix. I'm running a diff set of overlays with my TA dash and they don't have any problems. I think maybe its because your reverse glows are so much thicker. Maybe you could try pulling the needle out some so its not so close to the face. Its the only thing i can think of.

Re: Problems with guage overlay.

Its a reverse glow one that lights up blue, Look on page 2 of my car domain. I think its about 2mm thick if thats what you were wondering. How do i take off the stock overlay? I never checked how to when i had the dash apart and i only want to try this one more time.

Re: Problems with guage overlay.

You shouldn't have to remove the old with that type- I assume the the idiot lights visible. I think you just pushed the needles back on too far - probably hitting in the back.
