Pics of a NON-Functional SS Hood? Anyone??

I was wondering if anyone has a NON-FUNCTIONAL SS Hood on their Camaro and if you do, could you post a pic, please. I'm going to install one on my car and I'm wondering if it would be worth it to cut the opening or not. It would be too difficult to make it fully fuctional because I am running a supercharger and nitrous on my car and that would be a whole undertaking in itself. I'm wondering if the simple cooling effect of air into the engine compartment would make it worthwhile in the long run. Opinions?? Thanks for any help you can provide!

If you want a cooling effect, get a cowl hood. The air entering the radiator and through the front air dam "swoops" over the motor and out the rear of the hood instead of under the car. Search on the net for SS Hoods, before I got mine I found a half a dozon links for hoods that turned out to be non-functional. I'd say it'd too much trouble to fabricate it into a funcional hood, and/or it wouldn't work really well in the cooling area. I still say the cowl hood is your best bet, you can get them in various sizes, from 1 1/2" up to 3"

... I think cowl hoods bring IN cool air... thus "cowl induction"
and any air that goes through the radiator.. when it comes out the other side it's going to be hotter than the air before it enters (it's cooling the HOT coolant, so the air absorbs the heat and such).. That's not something you want.

Yeah, if you have it rigged up like NASCAR to draw intake air from the cowl, then yes it will take in hot air. But the way our F-Bodys are setup, with the intake and all, it will sent the hot air out the cowl and will never see the air filter.....get my drift? I dunno, what ever he's looking for in the hood...
