Net vacuum in a wet sump drag race engine should not exceed 15" hg max at maximum rpm. Many engine builders recommend 10" to 12". Dry sump engines can be run at 20" hg net. Check your vacuum on the dyno or on the track. Install a vacuum control valve if you exceed recommended vacuum level.

18-20" was proven at BES an that 427 so different builders have different preferences. That was Jim Hubber's 427 in the little jimmy truck.

I put 450 HARD rawhiding miles at cruising the coast PROBLEM FREE. In hot *** weather in HEAVY traffic.
And for the record it makes 463 RWHP, that is about 600 at the flywheel with an intake you call junk.

It will do it on motor, I will video it JUST to shove your nose in it. I am already at 11.0's now.
Why do I WANT it to pick up the tires, you talk ALL that crap about it loses ET when it picks up the tires, so which is it? Make up your mind! I am leaving off idle at 1500 rpm...it leaves perfectly thank you. ANd that ET was a 1.58 60 ft, wait till I stall it up on new tires LOL.
On spray it will run high 9's, I will vid that for ya to. LOL

You can count on one hand the people who have run in the tens all motor with an LT1 4th gen car at 3800lbs on pumpgas with 23* heads, none I know of on drag radials, I am about to be one of that group. Pretty amazing considering by your account I am a dumb *** with no knowledge that can't fab or do anything "right".Well my "thrown together" engine seems to be doing pretty well...I guess I was just lucky?
I could put MY engine in the 2500 lb S-10 and run in the 9's on motor, 1300lbs lighter....wooptie do.
You get a car that weighs 3800 lbs with driver and run the same times mine does and THEN run that d!ck sucker...until then...you are nobody.

He tells everyone he had Corvettes he drag raced in the late 60's,and He had a Sprint car...in fact NONE of those cars were his....he just worked on them. I have that from a trusted source...MY MOM! He only had ONE car a 55 Chevy in the 60's, thats it.

He is a broke down old man living off his sister in her house. He could sell all his car parts and tools and have enough to buy a NICE trailer and live well on his own, instead he chooses to USE his sister and niece and burden them with his sorry azz, just like he did me and his former girlfriend in Washington that kicked him out. A real man would get out on his own and not live off people, especially if he had $10,000(easy) worth of stuff he could sell and get his own place to live.
