NEWS: Hennessey's Blown Camaro SS: The Real Story
Re the prices - if you can cut out the extra profit padding junk from the package (i.e., going down the list, stop immediately after "Engine Management Calibration"), and pare it down to the real upgrades, maybe it's more reasonable.
Of course, the even better way to go might be to 1) go with Lingenfelter's supercharger or 2) get the Supercharger System (which, based on other Magnuson offerings, would include the fuel system upgrade, an air induction kit, and a flash loader with PCM tuing) from a non Hennessy Magnuson dealer.
8 grand at lingenfelter gets you the magnuson intercooled supercharger and all the fuel upgrades and tunning. not bad. and a 3 yr warranty. im really concidering it. their only about 3 1/2 hrs away from me.
I looked a couple of different places yesterday. The consensus was that the block had some reinforcements. The heads are dimensionally the same, but are cast and machined differently. I am not sure if these are perfect sources. I just hit Google and read a few things. I think most of the info came off of Corvette and Cadillac forums.
thats very true. i bet if they offered the z28 off the bat in october, 90% of those sold orders would be for the z28. they could easily sell close to 10k of those without anyone seeing or driving it.
