Camaro prototype without any camoflage!! Hollllly..
^I agree!!!!
This picture is my favorite! It shows ALL of the bodylines, the mid bodyline and the sharp indent at the bottom of the door are CLEARLY THERE!!! You can even see that the rear 1/4 panel kicks out a fair bit as well. The 1/3 camo shot with the flat paint makes the car look very slab sided and flat, when in fact, it's not
I seriously think some people look at the pics and post without reading the thread's content

When I think of simple guages I think of the guage packages in the Chryslers. White backs with plain black numerals and low greenish lighting. Bland IMO. I have a feeling the Camaro may have a different/ unique looking guage package when it's unveiled.
Besides the part that it was illegal to have taken this picture, what can you comment on? Is it production? Is it a low, mid or top dawg car? How much has the production car changed from the concept? Are the wheels in the pics the wheels that will be on the car?

but you could get it with bright trim, too

Except from 1993-2002. Virtually no differences, there.
It does look smaller than the concept. This is, IMHO, a good thing.
I love it. I love it to the point of possibly not caring if it's 100 pounds heavier than I would normally find acceptable. 5 years after I buy it it's getting stripped and converted for grassroots racing anyways...
And I WILL be flying Bumblebee's colors on this mother. Complete with that "Bee-otch" air freshener and an autobot symbol in the rear window.

Yes I noted that too and I'm also glad. Tom Peters must like that style because it's straight off th C6.
TO me the wheels look production. They are not the concept wheels and why make another set to look like the concept but be smaller just for testing.
The car is missing a read lip spoiler that the conept had. Base model??
I'm not sure what to think of the side view mirrors. Besides being in black which I wanted to see end in 1999. The mirror is mounted on the door skin like the concept and has a mirror patch in the corner of the sideglass and most cars have one or the other not both.
That said I find red lighting too harsh and difficult to see, and cool blue lighting is one I have a hard time focusing in on in the dark.
I like regular old backlit guages like on the 4th Gens...
That's why I'm hoping these mirrors aren't the final ones. I hope they are going to have more angular ones to match the car better than those that look like they're off a rounded vehicle. And I hope they're placed just in front of the window rather than on the door itself.
I am seriously pleased with this picture, even though it seems this car is finished. I mean, we still have a year and a half to go and people are critisizing it now. I mean, at least it looks a lot like the concept. To be honest, i was only worried about the frong portion, and i think it looks magnificent. Do you think we can get a spy shot of the interior ? GREAT JOB GM
Man, the longer I look at it the more I love it. It was one thing to see the awesome concept, but to actually see the production model will be virtually identical (and those of you who don't see the near perfect match to the prototypes need serious eye surgery) makes me all giddy inside!
When was the last time ANYONE made a production vehicle even remotely similar to it's respective concept?

I thought that was classy and I'm glad to see they are intact...
