Camaro prototype without any camoflage!! Hollllly..

The Vette in "white" DOESN'T look any better than the Camaro "in white"...but since the Vette in sporting a glossy finish, the Camaro's flat primer, you can see the lines on the Vette better...
.Funny how people see what they want to see....

I hope Scott and Cheryl and everyone else proves me dead wrong and I trade the Z06 for a Camaro in a few years, but after examining those latest pics, I feel the statement, the purpose, and the aggression of the car was just lost, like Freddy Krueger in 1985 vs. Freddy Krueger today. Same thing?? Almost, yes, but mehhh, who cares....
When it comes to this latest pic, no glossy paint job and bad lighting are the excuses of the day, but the fact is you could take a '69 Camaro in primer gray, take a picture of it at midnight in my driveway with a cellphone and it would give me twice the woody this car does. Sadly, the new Camaro just doesn't do it for me anymore, it lost the panache.
To show the public the idea, and go gauge reception and reaction. A concept car is never meant to be a "true representation" of what a production car is and I don't believe there has ever been a case where a concept car was identical in every way to the production version.
There's some optical illusions taking place here.
The black bra, larger black door handle and side mirror, along with the shine on the crown of the "hip" makes it look somewhat smaller and sides taller.
Look how the shadow on the hip of the BumbleBee car really "defines" the hip edge.
How do you think Chargers and Mustangs would look in "white primer"?
That Camaro isn't even in a Gloss finish....
After all we've been through...it'll take more than a crappy picture of a pre-production/prototype to send me looking for something else.
(PS: Note how the "make or break" parts of the car are guarded by bras, even in some storage garage.
)
If you can't hang? Good luck with your other cars...

I wish I had never found and posted the pic without the camo. It would have wound up everywhere anyway, but honestly, I am so tired of hearing everyone complaining about not getting any information and then when there is some, all I hear is " oh god, I hope that antenna goes away or oh god, those mirrors are hideous or whatever the hell else people can come up with to complain about. And for those that are considering a new Z06 instead of waiting to be disappointed with the final outcome of the Camaro, GO FOR IT....if I could afford an $80,000 car (the way I would want it) I wouldn't be looking at the Camaro either. It's just gotten totally ridiculous on all of the boards........but this one seems to be more negative minded that the rest.......
I honestly don't see why everyone's so down on the pic.........it looks just like the concept to me........Who cares what angle it was taken at? Could a meaner stance have been portrayed? Sure.......but, look around, there are some pics of the concept at that same angle.....I'm actually more pleased to see how close they have stayed to the concept. Where's the gas door? Do I care, not really. Would I like it to be on top of the quarter? Of course.....it looked good there. Is it practical? Probably not from a manufacturing standpoint. Will it keep me from buying the car? NOPE!!

Aside from those 2 things I find that spy pic to be VERY close to the concept and don't get all the complaining that it's not...
Someone even posted side by side comparisons of the concept and the spy pics at nearly the exact same angles. They're nearly identical for the most part.
I too have just about had a belly full of all the p---ing, moaning, groaning about how awful the new Camaro is turning out based on that one half-a--ed pic of the white one. Are you people blind?? Can't you see the details and lines in the pics of the camoed prototypes? Or were you just looking for an excuse to change your mind and the pic of the white one was your chance? If you don't like the new Camaro, then by all means carry your behind somewhere and buy whatever your little heart desires, just quit the endless carping and moaning on the forums and GO DO IT. My take on the new Camaro at this point is that it is awfully close to the concept in looks and I fully intend to buy one unless something radically changes. You don't need to be a professional photographer or a full time participant on a photo forum to determine that the pic of the white one is total garbage, look at real photos like the camoed prototypes to make your decisions based more on fact rather than fiction.
